Happy New Year 2010 is here!

A lot of cold weather and snow has come this Winter and fortunately Spring is near.

Just try and keep from getting a cold or influenza.

Unfortunately its cold and Flu season again.

Welcome to the Winter of 2010 and all the wonderful things that come along with it. Most of these events are very pleasant, like having snowball fights with the family and friends, sledding or just playing in the snow, lets not forget the hot chocolate to warm us up afterwards, but some things that come with all that contact with the cold are not so pleasant like colds and the Influenza illness also known as the Flu.

In any event we all know simple and practical ways to help us all from getting sick, such as washing our hands frequently, eating healthy and taking our vitamins. All that is needed for the Flu bug to get us however is for it to catch us off guard and unprotected. So don’t be caught off guard and please consider getting a Flu shot.

Some Physicians recommend anyone from 6 months to 5 years or 50 years old and older get one, but most interestingly enough is all of you Health care providers with direct patient client contact like most of the Employees at E.J.Q. I am also providing the link to the Lorain county Health Department that shows all the places and time you may get a shot if you need one.

This year the new Flu talk is about the Swine Flu H1N1 virus. It is just as easy to keep from catching it as is the more common seasonal Flu we have all been aware of for many years A/H3N2, A/H1N1, and B.
